Postdocs

Our staff is proud to provide clinical supervision for our highly qualified Postdoctoral Fellows. Competition for Postdoctoral fellowships is fierce throughout the country, and ours is no exception.  Postdocs have graduated with a psychology doctoral degree, and have also had a full year of clinical internship experience approved by the American Psychological Association.

Postdocs work under the supervision of licensed psychologists as they work towards meeting New Jersey licensure requirements and work under what is called an “NJ psychology permit.”  New Jersey’s Board of Psychological Examiners, the governing entity for psychologists in this state, has regulated that advertising Postdocs is not permitted. As such, our Postdocs are not represented specifically on this website. However, we at SAS of NJ feel very strongly about the quality and professional skills of these colleagues.

Many clients prefer to see Postdocs not only because of the lower fee, but also because they see the benefit of having the oversight of two experts -- a Postdoc and a Clinical Supervisor -- on their case.

Please note that no clients are ever assigned to a Postdoc without their explicit consent.  Our Intake Coordinators are happy to answer any additional questions you may have about our Postdocs, and can be reached at (732) 390-6694 ext. 0.
