From Dr. Zambrano:

“I typically work with clients age 10 and above (although I make some exceptions for Tourettes cases).  I really love teaching clients how to identify and challenge thoughts and beliefs fueling their anxiety and helping them find the courage to face their fears and learn that they are stronger than they imagined.  I enjoy blending philosophy and humor in an approachable way.  I believe being a good therapist means helping clients understand treatment and stay motivated to move forward; I’ve been known to reference sports metaphors, song lyrics, podcasts, pop culture, comic books/sci fi movies, etc. to help clients understand how what we are doing in therapy will help them achieve their treatment goals.  I find all my client’s so fascinating and find the process of connecting to be so rewarding.  Although Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is my main tool for treatment, I try to incorporate concepts from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, etc when appropriate.  It’s always a thrill to help people work on living their best life and an honor to play a role in that journey!”
